Granada Apartments

I am a disabled person living at Granada Apartments. It is actually a nice quiet place to live. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. One thing I am not happy with are the people in the complex that smoke pot. I have had to deal with my whole apartment filling up with the smell of marijuana smoke from the various people in my complex that do this illegally as it is not allowed in an apartment setting. The only thing Granada Apts. is allowed to do is warn them that they will not be offered a renewal. This is not feasible in reality because we have to call them to come sniff it out. They get here after the fact, not sure if it is done on purpose or what. But they never seem to find the culprits so it goes undetected and they are allowed to stay and continue to break the lease agreement mine included as it does state I will be provided with a safe, and quiet environment.

We resided on the property in a 1bed apt for 6.5yrs. As you can imagine, in over half a decade there were some issues here n there, but overall the apartment was comfortable and served us well in our time there. Odd repairs needed like a leaky bathtub, a bit of damp by the sliding doors, but nothing horrific. They take good care of the grounds and the pool making it easy to enjoy the Michigan summers, and are quick to snowblow and plow during the winter, making the commute to work pretty easy in those early, icy mornings. Plenty of parking and easy walk/drive to Meijer and the fastfood places on Airport Rd. On occasion we had some inconsiderate neighbors but that isnt unique to Granada, you'd find clashing personalities anywhere! It was dealt with swiftly by maintenance, management, and law enforcement (when needed). Long standing, respectful tenants are taken seriously when you raise concerns or come to them with info or issues on things that need fixing; building rapport goes a long way, for both parties!! The apps you can use to pay rent, load money for the laundry services and put in maintenance requests was very helpful, especially if you work hours that means you miss the office open hours. Lower rent, comfortable, cozy but with enough space for a young couple or single occupancy. Recommend for those starting to branch out on their own and/or looking for an inexpensive place that gives you some freedom.

I was very impressed with the staff at Granada Apts. Cherie was especially helpful with showing the apartment and answering all our questions. The apartment was very clean. I would have loved to move in but we had concerns with our dog. It seems our dog has a hard time with climbing stairs. I would highly recommend Granada Apts. Thanks for being such good hosts. Mike
